A quick note…

This is Daniela’s friend, Cladonia.
Kindly excuse her lack of posting due to the rather hectic life she’s currently leading, or the bad internet connection she has at home.
Moreover, thesis, family time, a couple of birthdays and some travelling are also keeping her rather busy. Meanwhile, you can always catch up with her on www.rockdancejump.com, to learn what music she’s listening [...]

Too much ‘moving’ around pretty Luxembourg

I don’t particularly like it, but I can’t seem to avoid it…
From Strassen, to Petrusse and Belair, to Limpertsberg… my new move shall be taking me to Beggen, in a ‘haunted-looking’ house for stagiares, called Socrates. I’ve been there for a couple of hang-outs since my dear Polski, Karolina, has been living there since October.
Never a dull [...]

Can’t focus!

My thoughts drift from home to being here.. . in a strange country where I fit in. From the good friends back home to my good friends here.. . from my hectic lifestyle back home to my routine over here…
Feeling certain of my decision to eagerly accepting an opportunity I’ve been given, resulting in extending [...]

A post, from Leuven…

Been a while since my last post, and incidentally while writing my thoughts away, I happen to be at yet another ESU event, also termed as geeky meeting. My geekier side has resurfaced this weekend. There must be something about these meetings – as it inspires me to write and blog and write. It must [...]

aaaa!

I keep on asking myself:
Why do I keep on doing this to myself, when I could be enjoying port-drinking with my dear friends at good old Maestro!??
We’re still at it … Motions are still being voted upon. And apparently, there is also a farewell party! The time is now 1:10am.
It truly is a farewell party [...]

My geekier side …

Where is Democracy? I’d like to make a statement…
This is ridiculous.!!! I’d like to amend the amendment… What are we voting about??? .. Where is the beer???????
These are only a few of the most commonly uttered phrases during the ‘infamous’ ESU Board Meetings. Overtired at ESU’s 57th Board Meeting at the time of writing, which [...]

A Postcard Campaign

I have been asked to contribute to this Postcard Campaign by ESN, the Erasmus Student Network, by a 1-page article themed around inter-cultural dialogue – on behalf of ESU. We student organization geeks are simply obsessed by this topic. Well, all I can say is that I am living it right now, and I’m loving it. This is what I [...]

Café des Artistes

I may have discovered my favourite hangout in Luxembourg. Spent my Saturday night at Café des Artistes, located in the Grund district where we were entertained by this indefatigable piano player who had us singing along to tunes from Kurt Weill, Edith Piaf, Jimmie Davis, the Beetles and the like. I dare say that the tunes [...]

Strange happenings…

I’ve been procrastinating this post as I quite haven’t overcome the matter.
I have been made homeless. . . and I am currently crashing a friend’s place. Very kind i think. Had been experiencing problems with my landlady and it was blown a bit out of proportion.
Not having a stable setting feels strange. It feels like I went [...]
